Position Description: - Marketing research - internet research and data entry (MS-Excel) to explore new opportunities to
promote Volunteer MBC’s mission and service delivery.
- Communications - assisting with e-newsletter creation (using MailChimp), article writing, on-line communications (i.e. social media messaging, etc.) and generating content for promotion.
- Event planning – assist with event planning as it pertains to Volunteer MBC’s events, volunteer fairs and outreach.
- Media relations – conduct media research and explore opportunities to promote
Volunteer MBC through various media channels, etc.
- Other marketing-related tasks as required
Goal of Position: Here's a great opportunity for a marketing student or someone who is interested in the marketing field to assist Volunteer MBC's Marketing & Communications team with various marketing-related tasks.

Training Details: - Orientation to Volunteer MBC will be provided during interview and ongoing.
- Training appropriate to position will be provided.
Position Qualifications: - A strong passion for volunteering with an interest in marketing and communications.
- Must have solid, proven experience in using Word, Excel and the internet in a PC environment.
- Understanding of communications for not-for-profits and a desire to excel.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Willingness to share their ideas openly.
- Knowledge of multi-media production is not a requirement, but an asset.
