Position Description: As a 'Kid's Coaching Assistant', you will volunteer under the supervision of 2 experienced, senior coaches:

● Sign in/sign out children attending the class
● Demonstrate 'Kinetika' physical education exercises
● Engage youngsters in 'Kinetika' individually
● Develop/monitor/coach youngsters re. exercise techniques and 'biomechanical' awareness
● Ensure that children stay with the group at all times
● Ensure that all class members come away with a positive 'Kinetika' experience
Goal of Position: 'Kinetika Motor Performance's' MISSION is to lead individuals to refine movement strategies in sports, exercise, and functional activities to optimize motor performance and promote musculoskeletal health. We view inclusion of children in our Mission and programs as both highly important and essential to their 'physical literacy'.

We are recruiting 6 energetic and enthusiastic volunteers to be 'Kids' Coaching Assistants' for Grade 6 school students in a 'biomechanically mindful physical literacy' class, to take place Thursday, June 7, 2018.

Training Details: Orientation and training will be conducted prior to the class (TBA)
Position Qualifications: ● Willingness to obtain a police check.
● Interest in physical fitness, sports, exercise, and healthy living
● The 'Kids' Coaching Assistant' sets an excellent example of overall physical fitness, with enthusiasm and high energy at all times
● Ability to demonstrate and work with all aspects of the 'Kinetika' program that will be taught
● Athletic gear (including footwear) suitable for the program
● Involvement in organized athletics (varsity/club) is an asset
● A positive, caring, patient, and responsive attitude with young children is a must
● Strong ability to learn/follow the 'Kinetika' philosophy and programs

* CPR and First Aid certifications would be assets *
Time Commitment: Thursday Morning
Time Detail: The 'Kinetika' class will take place on Thursday, June 7, from 8:00 AM to NOON. Volunteers are expected to arrive before start of the class, and to be on time for all orientation/training sessions.
